Expense Dashboard

Build a personal expense dashboard for someone who reviews finances once a week. Require sign-in and save transactions between visits.

Show this month's total, change versus last month, remaining budget, and the three categories driving the change. Include a transaction table with search, category and date filters, plus an add/edit transaction flow. Use charts only where they improve comparison: a six-month spending trend and a category breakdown. Add useful empty, loading, success, and validation states.

Use a calm, high-density interface with warm gray surfaces, forest-green positive signals, rust warnings, and tabular numerals. Never imply financial advice. Make currency, dates, and category labels easy to edit.
